I bought one for my mum because it looked dead easy to use... I ended up getting one for myself. It is great when i dont want to use headphones but at the same time dont want to blast my stereo. Great to use outside in parks and possible near the beach though I wouldnt like to get sand in my precious :)

I was expecting the sort of sound you get from equivilent sized computer speakers (you know how they sound tinny and have 0 bass).
Well this thing blew my mind.
It actually has bass, you can feel the surface it's on vibrate!
The other thing I like is the stereo expander button, fills the entire space will rich sound.
It works with my iPhone 4S and even charges it so I just use this instead of my ordinary charger, why buy a plastic dock when you can have functional hi-fi speakers?
Super impressed!

I brought my unit from cash converters but it was brand new with all the stickers and even the battery tab was still in place on the remote. Given I know that I should have probably brought it from a retail store, I figured it was o.k, considering my previous good experience with Logitech products.
the product came with a 30 day warranty and true to form, the problem reared it headed just after the warranty period had expired.
but like previous owners, my unit suffered the same problem of shutting itself off while plugged in. unlike the other owners though, I have recourse for repair or replacement, but I have to say I am disappointed in the quality of this product. great features but three random people suffering the same problem?
it works fine, the performance is excellent for such a small unit. the carry case and extras really make it worth while.
I should have brought the S715i - new.

I am on my third unit and all three have the same problem in that they randomly turned themselves off when plugged into mains power . They have at times played for hours without any problems ; and yet at other times will turn themselves off for no apparent reason .The most recent occurence was 10 times in 47 minutes . I might add that the current unit is only 6 months old .
As with the previous units, this one will be returned for refund (NOT replacement) under warranty
I'm afraid Logitech have lost me ; I will look for an alternative brand.

Pleasantly surprised by this product, its compact yet has a good battery life and sounds pretty decent for its size, plus has a remote that helps using it across the room.
The only downside I've noticed so far is that, as per other reviews, the included remote doesn't work. It may be due to the battery having died. I tried contacting Logitech's support (which is exemplary back where I'm from in the UK), but so far have heard nothing, which is pretty disappointing.

I have been using one of these for about two years as an adjunct to my professional presentations. Sound quality is good but the device is let down in some respects:
1. buttons too hard to operate
2. universal power brick tends to come apart
3. remote control has different key layout to iPod controls
4. poor availablility of replacement parts (am waiting on a replacement power brick for past month)
5. remote battery can go flat in carry case due to accidental operation during transit - the case is too flimsy

This is a great device - the sound is magnificent, however I have noticed that at intermittent times it does turn itself off, which is most annoying. The remote is a fantastic idea - however mine no longer works (it stopped working only after a few months of use - I did replace the battery but nothing happened) However its still a great little stereo - the portability is amazing, I don't have to buy expensive batteries, it charges all our iPhone's/iPod's. No need for extension cords etc. It looks great, sounds great - I've actually had people say "wow I thought you had some huge stereo blasting not that small thing" Overall great device!!

expensive but sounds really good, if you're source audio is good. Turns itself off intermittently - very annoying because you have to adjust the volume to get back to the level you had.
Audio-input hole got loose inside in less than a year, which means i have to wiggle the lead until it's happy
some of the buttons need to be pressed hard to work.
it hasn't been treated particularly rough so this is irritating.
Sound quality is awesome but would probably look for something cheaper next time because of the above annoyances - should be no more than $120

I received the Pure Fi Anywhere 2 as a product tester for Logitech. It was very easy to charge and set up. The sound quality is amazing, very clear. It's also a gorgeous looking product and looks nice and slick sitting on a table! It is also a very good sized unit, not too small or too big. I thought the storage bag was brilliant. Although it could do with a handle of some type and maybe a side pocket for the remote. I also thought it would be handy to have somewhere on the unit itself to put the remote when not using it, to avoid losing it. My husband took the unit out on the boat so he could listen to music and said it worked fantastic. Overall I was very pleased with the product's ease of use and performance and would recommend it to anyone looking for portable speakers.

From the outset I must admit I was pleasantly surpised by the mighty, magnificent sound delivered by the relatively small speakers - with the added advantage of 2 speaker settings to allow you to rock out or just have a quiet jam session of your own without disturbing the rest of the family.
Compact and extremely lightweight, this portable unit looks quite smart with the shiny black exterior and silver trim. The remote control makes operation extremely easy. I love the fact that I can take it out into the back yard (10hr rechargeable battery) and not have to worry about extension leads etc, or I can pack it into its case and take it with me to the park etc. My 4-year-old has quickly mastered use of the remote...so it looks like we are gonna be stuck listening to The Wiggles and Justine Clarke for the forseeable future...
Looks good, sounds great, well worth a look.

I was happy to get the Logitech Pure-Fi anywhere 2 from my sons for Christmas 2010. There was an immediate problem with the electrical cable which was clicking in the powerpoint. On looking we noticed the plug was not connecting properly and was burning out the plug. In the end it stopped charging and didn't work. We returned it and luckily (or unluckily) got another. The cable works but this time the iPod dock stops playing music and so we have to press the start buttons again. The buttons on the dock are not very senstive and need a heavy press to register. Not as good quality that I expect from Logitech.

I've found that often with iPod docks there is somethig missing. Logitech has definitely always been a quality product, but on bringing this wonder out of it's box and into the world I could forever end my search for that extra feature.
Not only is it the most stylish dock I've seen, the features are amazing. Docks are mobile, why else would we skip getting a stereo or speakers? The 10 hour rechargeable battery for me was the missing link. When I travel the dock comes with me, so the case they throw in definitely gives me piece of mind.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced dock that will do everything you want it to, look no further. Logitech continues to out do themselves, I'm a customer for life!

My husband purchased this for me for our anniversary and I was so excited. I instantly opened the box and plugged it in and it didnt work. The wiring in the charger was frayed. I returned it and the second one was also faulty! It wasnt until I returned it the third time I returned it that i received a working one!
Unforunately, After a year and a half, it's died.

Overall, the speakers are amazing.
Pros:
Rich quality sounds for any genre of music.
Very loud considering the fact that it's portable.
The 10-hour lasting battery is actually incorrect. It lasts for a good two days when below halfway sound level (perfect for quiet rooms), but lasts about 10 hours when in hard to hear areas. (in a bus full of kids)
Includes: a remote (works about 20-40 feet), shuffle and repeat button, AUX IN line, battery bar, and nice looking case.
**Some found this feature a con**
The speaker tends to turn off when little or no sound is emitted from the iPod. So maybe you were playing a movie, and a quiet part comes up, the speakers shut off 10 seconds into the quiet part. However, is the movie is still playing and sound is detected, the speakers automatically turn on. In fact, think about it, what if you left your speakers on all day without realizing it and your battery's dead by the time you come back. Definitely had that happen to me before.
Surround and Mono option is given
BASICALLY GREAT STUFF
MINOR Cons
The remote has the capability to go through your menu when on speakers. However, the capability is harder on iPods with touchscreens. If you take a look at the remote, you realize there is a menu button, but on an iPhone, there isn't. Kind of hard to navigate. However, just a minor issue.
When low battery, (one bar) sound tends to distort.
There is a "Shuffle" and "Repeat" button on the speakers.
However, there isn't a "Next" or "Previous" button.
This causes you to press down on the iPod's "Next" or "Previous" button if a desired track is wanted. Which then causes the port connector to bend, which may result of the port coming off. Therefore, not have a dock to place your iPod on.
Buttons on speakers are slightly hard to push, but that is a matter of getting used to.
_____________________________________________
BASICALLY. If portable speakers are what you are looking for, this is it.
Compared to all the other portable speakers i know of, this would be the the NUMBER 1 option.
However, the speakers itself are a bit expensive.
You may want to check out amazon.
I got mine used from "Digital Outlet" for about $62 and it looks and plays like it's new.
Hopefully this helped
