Great mouse. Works amazingly. I've been using it for about 10 months now with absolutely no issues whatsoever. I use it at home on my desktop and have used it on a couple of notebooks. In every case it worked wonderfully.
It's small, but it's not comically tiny which is good. Also seems like the perfect weight for a mouse. I love it and use it for gaming and everything.
All in all: Best. Purchase. Evar.

Love this little mouse. Such a great feeling and functioning little bugger. The USB receiver storage compartment inside the mouse is an excellent idea. Seriously, the people that thought of that one have a place reserved for them in Heaven.
I highly recommend this mouse!

Work bought me this mouse with a keyboard and notebook riser. All are excellent. The mouse tracks well, is fast (because I like it that way) and comfortable. The scroll is just the right speed for what I need it for. Others at work want one! I have recommended this mouse to colleagues, and would again.

I received the 505 as part of the mk605 kit for product testing.
Now being an employee at a reputable electronics retail store in Australia I have been recommending the 505 as a standalone mouse for some time but having actual hands on user experience with it for a prolonged usage period I must say the device is simply exemplary.
One of the things I find most useful about its design is the ability to store the receiver within the mouse itself eliminating loosing the tiny device and also allowing you to simply pop the whole unit in a laptop bag.
The only gripe I have with the device is the 'Setpoint' software being a separate download and not being downloaded from the windows update site upon insertion of the receiver.
Also the Icon for the Setpoint installer could possibly use a revamp.
However both issues are hardly anything to worry about and the device is simply amazing and a Joy to use!

Well, i have to say i am quite disappointed with the mouse i just bought. It rattles and squeks from 2 sources. The first and most annoying is the battery cover. Had to put a piece of card-board in there to stop it from squeeking every time i touched the respective area with my palm. The second and most annoying is the on/off button who rattles when moving the mouse left or right (even on a func mousepad!). That issue was resolved by scotch-taping the button. Now i have a quiet and very pleasant mouse which i hope will last for years. But to be honest, i wouldn't recommend it to a friend, a 50 $ mouse SHOULD NOT NEED ANY IMPROVISING !

Aside from the fact that I dropped my first Logitech mouse on the ground so many times that the left click button fell off (after two years of owning it), it's the most reliable piece of technology I own. I've gone through 2 1/2 computers with them and I'm only on my second mouse. The nano receiver is great because it doesn't get in the way when I've got my laptop on the go. It also fits so nicely into the battery compartment, so it's perfect for travel. The design fits perfectly to your hand and it's extremely responsive. The battery life is, quite frankly, insane. I've had my current M505 for a year and I just changed out the batteries for the first time last month (that's with never shutting it off more than once or twice).
All this blithering I just wrote basically amounts to this; GET THIS PRODUCT!

Scroll wheel middle click always triggers either a left or right scroll
Too expensive ,short battery life and less functions compare to M510
No hyper fast scrolling,no apps switcher ,no THUMB BUTTON
No desktop receiver extender cable
i can feel the delay from the cursor and i don think this mouse can be use for life time...

I have been using Logitech products for quite a while and THIS one is OUTSTANDING. Small yet has substantial weight, Accurate and easy to navigate. I replaced my wired Logitech with this one and all I did was put in the batteries they supply, Plug in the USB device, and turn it on. Yahooo it works great . Thanks Logitech for a wonderfully designed product that not enough people know about!

This product is so amazing, it's very recommended for those who has their own laptop.
But, I'm worried about the 'Unifying receiver', since it's so small, i do really forget it and I'm afraid of loosing it .
suggestion:
I think Logitech should sell the 'Unifying receiver' separately. So in case I'm loosing because of damaging or missing it, I can buy new 'Unifying receiver' for my logitech devices.
overall it's very nice product, it's perfect match with Keyboard K340 since it's has shiny surfaces.

Now, it may be because Ive never used anything but a full sized mouse my whole life, but I just couldn't get over how small this mouse is. It's not marketed as one of those super portable laptop mice, but it practically is one. It;s not super tiny, but It's tiny enough not to be comfortable on my hands, and I don't have very big hands!
I was very pleased with every aspect of this mouse except for the ergonomics and features. I missed having back/forward thumb buttons. I bought it because I saw it at the store, but I should've compared more online, because it seems to me that the M510 is the exact same thing, but waaay more comfortable and with the thumb buttons I missed! I love the unifying receiver (not really that it is unifying, but because of how tiny it is.) My plan is to return this mouse and buy the M510 online, since that is the only place I can find it.
I would love this mouse it it were comfortable!

got this for about $50 ...... the mouse feels heavy but sturdy. has a high DPI and it's my first laser mouse .....
I have had enough of cheap wireless optical mouse whose battery would only last a month or two ...... lucky if it can go three ...... so i am really hoping the battery life of this mice is just as good as advertised .....

After going through four laptops over the course of the last 10 years, the only mouse I have ever had the pleasure to own was this type of mouse. I currently own two of them and have purchased countless others for family and friends. This mouse lasts longer than any other one you will put batteries into. I thought about this the other day, and realized I've never had to replace the batteries in this one, and its been over 12 months now! I highly recommend anyone with a laptop purchasing this type, the USB reciever is so small and subtle that you will forget it even there. My only request from logitech's part is that they produce more colorful skins for this mouse, and market it more to the "on the go," crowd, or even the older age market who use a computer rarely, but need a long lasting reliable mouse.

The Mouse is Excellent in all its features and ways that i have expected it to be used.
I use this mouse on my desktop at least 4 hours a day, and with that, the battery life is no where near the 15-month advertised, where as i swap out my rechargeables about once a month, which isn't a big deal right, rechargeables.
being used on the desktop, range so far isn't an issue. Though, I do have to use a front USB port otherwise the range gets choppy trying to go through the rear corner of my tower, which leads me to believe range to be an issue if you ever had to do a presentation with a laptop and needed to set your laptop down at a specific location, with you at another spot.
The Reciever is ungodly tiny, and easy to lose and could be given out as pocket change on accident if you kept it there, Which is probably the reason the range isn't so great, takes about 2-4 feet for it to begin to get choppy.
- Overall Exellent Product for everything i've used it for despite what i've had to say, Its a mouse, does what its supposed to do. And being a laser mouse, works on any surface but Glass! - Even smooth on carpet!

This mouse is a great replacement for my Microsoft mouse, which lasted 3 months. The M505 is great for gaming, and is highly accurate on almost any surface that you will use.
Sometimes, the M505 will slip off certain mouse pads, yet it is nothing serious. I never use a mouse pad anymore. It just gets in the way.
Something they don't mention is that it has a power save feature on it. After a period of time without using it, it will go to a "standby" mode, and the little green light will light up when you move it again, indicating that it is fully powered. Apparently, it stops transmitting temporarily.
The M505 will start transmitting instantly, and the lag is imperceivable, unless you REALLY pay attention.
I recommend this mouse for any purpose, unless you want programmable buttons, in which case there is the Logitech Performance Mouse MX, which has 9 programmable buttons (i think).

I had a Logitech wireless mouse that I literally wore out. This mouse is a good replacement. The only challenge is the removal of the receiver that plugs into my laptop. I struggle with removing it from the PC due to the smaller size. It is difficult for me to get a good grip on the smaller receiver.
