Same issue and was disappointed . . . but then took q-tip and cleaned out a few times . . . presto! Works perfect now.

Well worth the purchase

This mouse is extremely precise and just as dependable. The range of the reception is great as well. The only problem was finding a surface that the laser could use. After useing multiple mouse pads and other surfaces around my household I ended up just buying a silky fabric (very similar to a pair of gym shorts) and making my own. Other than that this is the best mouse I've ever used.

This mouse is a very good mouse. I have had it for over a year and it works perfectly. It could have some more features but apart from that one of the best mouse puchases I have made in a long time.

Scroll wheel/middle button is not working properly

After year and half the scrolling wheel just stopped sending command unless pressed really hard. Do I have any option but throwing it to the rubbish bin?
Other than that - quite good mouse.

Great mouse, the battery really holds very long. It is precise, but the only problem i have is that i can not use it on a table, it did not work on any surface beside mousepad not even sheet of paper or book or magazine. So be prepared to carry a mousepad with you.
