This sound system pumps an enormous amount of bass and backs it up with mid and high range. It is great to turn the bass to full and put on my favourite tracks and watch everything on my table dance all over the place... that and it makes modern warfare 3 and battle field 3 absolutely awesome. The explosions have a lot of oomph to them.

Amazing Quality For The Price!

I just upgraded from the Logitech X-530 to these Spectacular speakers, and they are incredible they sound clean and crisp on the high and mid notes and have great low end bass. If you were thinking about buying these speakers Don't hesitate you won't be let down. But i do recommend that you use a good quality sound card, i'm using the THX certified Creative USB soundcard, And i also Custom make my own RCA cables using high quality connectors and cable.

These are some killer speakers, cannot go wrong.
Awesome bass..crisp mid & high range.
But the only thing that annoys me about this package is the controls, I would really have loved the controls on a separate remote pod like other speakers instead of them being tied to the right speaker. It means the right speaker needs to be in arms reach and I can't really put it where I want it. It might not be a deal breaker but it is a real let down for me.

Honestly, these are some of the best speakers i've ever listened too!!!! It's 2.1 surround sound which is perfect for any small bedroom and its got 200 Watts of blasting power!!! The bass is flipping amazing and the clearness of the sound is bloody awesome!

When I was thinking about purchasing these speakers, I thought how much better will they be?
It turns out they are out of this world! amazing quality sound and perfect for all occasions. The bass dial lets you control the bass level right from the desktop speaker which is very handy. Definitely a must buy if your into music and want great quality while playing it loud.

I got this system only a couple of hours ago i have been running all my tunes though it and so far i am loving it the z623 are brilliant i cannot find a bad thing about them. I would highly recommend this system and you can find it cheaper in the local shops

I was looking for something simple yet have a bit of bass that wasn't distorted and high tones which weren't tinny, i came across this product and was exactly what i was after! the bass actually thumps for its size and i have been through a lot of different types of basses (because i am EXTREMELY fussy with my bass) this is defiantly a worth while system to purchase! *thumbs up*

Great speakers, but not worth paying the RRP

Rather than writing a massive story about how I found the product, I will just list the pro's and con's. ;)
Pro's:
- Great audio
- Minimal to no distortion
- They look beasty!
- Very easy to add other audio devices to acc. ports.
- Overall construction seems quite robust and should last a few years.
- Produces a body rumbling 'Ooomph' that is sure to satisfy both Gamers and Movie lover everywhere.

Shop around as these speakers can be purchased for Half the RRP! They are worth every cent if you manage to get them cheaper. ;-)

Just stuck a set of these into my lounge room. Connected to the Windows 7 laptop directly, and via the AV out on the TV to pick up the Wii and xBox.
Amazing sound. Just brings it all to life :)

i have had many large and small stereos over the years, including onkyo amps driving big speakers, the kicker 501 among others down to little portabloe av labs units.
This unit is deffinitly in the same playing field as the top end "superior" speaker setups. for both bang for your buck, and the goofy smile only huge bass can give you, this is the product for you.
Get your self a z623 and just keep winding up the dials. . . you wont be dissapointed..

I just got these and holy f*ck they are the shiznit. I had to clean up all my j*zz off my keyboard before i could even start typing this. Just cranked it up on yakooza - cocaine and all my asian roomates came out and thought there was an earthquake. Good stuff indeed. Buy it if u want somethin way more awesome than average speakers, but dont have enough money for the high end stuff.

what can i say, i work FIFO and also like to DJ so i bought this package to go with my turntables so that i dont miss out when i am at work!! best purchase i have made in a while and very happy with it.... Get one for yourself and enjoy the quality sound!

I bought these speakers after a friend recommended them and they are awesome, they're the best speakers i've bought so far. The bass is awesome and the speakers are super loud, i would've never thought that 200W would be that loud. The only thing i would change or improve is the controls that are on the speaker, it would be awesome if they were on a remote. The price is expensive but at the end of the day you want something that will last.

Look just quickly, these speakers are great but like someone else said, if you can get a set of Logitech Z2300's I strongly recommend it!! I have had the 2300s for three years and I cannot fault them. Nothing is broken, the quality has not changed. No complaints. They are better than these!!

Awesome sound, Hectic bass, mid's and High's!!!!

I just purchased these today, I took them straight out of the box, set them up and started pumping tunes, to my surprise 200 watts is far louder than what I thought it would be. The only thing that I didn't like was that the controls were on one of the satellites, it would be much better if there was a wired controller similar to that of the z-4's or z-2300's
Apart from that everything else is perfect and I recommend these to anyone who is looking for a serious set of speakers.

Last year i bought the previous model of these speakers which are the Z-2300s and i absoloutley love them they are the best speakers I have had.

I went into ****** today and saw the Z623 on display with an RCA cable for a device input so I pulled out my phone, I found a song which I have listened to a number of times on the Z-2300, hit play and at first its loud and punchy but then i noticed it sounded slightly flat and wasn't kicking out enough bass.
I had a play around with various adjustments on the speakers and the phone, yet after 30 minutes of adjusting and listening I couldn't get the Z623s to produce the same sound that comes from my Z-2300.
I had a look around the subwoofer box and noticed it doesn't have a big heat sink on the back like the Z-2300 which is a concern for me, this could either be a way of logitech cutting production costs or hiding something like lack of quality/power coming from the sub, having owned what is now considered the 'old version' I actually prefer the old ones over the new ones
Bottom line... If you can find a set of Z-2300s get them

A good buy - how to setup

Given the price and the performance the Z623 does a great job. I am impressed. I've read may of the reviews prior to making my purchase and I feel once I set these baby's up they're not half as bad as some of the negative reviews say. But let me warn you they do need input setup. Plug em in out of the box and there is a chance you'll be a little dissapointed. My focus here is with the mid's and high's. I don't think you can fault these speakers on the low freq delivery. The trick is in the setup.
These are the issues noted from other reviews:

My setup: Mac-mini Leopard i Tunes 10
Solutions to these issues. Set your equalizer to manual. Pushing up the high freq's too much produces tin like sound. So be modest with this. You can push the mids up with 500hz being the highest @ +9db then ramp down as you move towards the high's ending with 16k @ -1db. I've used 1k (6db) - 2k (4db) - 4k (2db) - 8k (1db) - 16k (-1db). Obviously these will differ for your own listening pref.
The second important thing is to play around with the preamp gain on the I tunes equalizer. I've set mine to -2db. This allows you to cut some of the bass and push up some of the mids and highs without distortion.
The third setting is to push the Itunes volume to max and allow the Logicool to mange the volume throttle. I figure having too many throttle gates in between you tend to loose some of the sound quality along the way.
Also push your Mac output vol to the max as well.
Another advantage of this if you like me like the feel of a volume knob.

Negatives:
Cable too thick on control speaker
All in all is an excellent pair of speakers for the price and for its use on a PC. If you looking for hi-fi quality then you must know this comes at a price and with considerable more real-estate demands. Hope this was helpful.
