I just got this today, I'm pretty impressed. Unpacked it from the box and plugged it in - Worked straight away. Downloaded the software with ease. It automatically searched for the games I have installed and loaded the profiles from them so I could chose which ones I wanted to set to the buttons. Had a bit of a game, and I have to say it was fantastic, fast, easy to use and the buttons make combo's easy. The Lights and profiles are pretty sweet, there's a button on the top which scrolls through 3 set profiles you can have and the software allows you to change the lighting to other colours - there are a few available - Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, White, No light, Pink and Light blue. I will admit the buttons set up make it feel a little odd at first because Im used to resting 3 fingers ontop of the mouse instead of just 2, but you get used to it and you can rest your fingers/thumb on the sides.

not bad at all

Date:6 December 2012
Since my CM sentinel storm advance broke, i got the G300. It wasn't too expensive, and i needed a gaming mouse.
At first i didnt think highly of it. I was still way too attached to the cm storm. But then i realised how handy it is to have the 4 extra, easy to reach buttons.
After a few days, i got used to it, and actually liked it more than my old mouse.

Beast Little Thing

Date:6 August 2012
This mouse is amazing, straight out of the box, worked perfect, brilliant software downloaded quick and made this mouse the best mouse I've ever used.
Customisable LEDs, Custom profiling, Lots of really useful Macros, Good customisable sensitivity.
It's a symmetrical mouse, which I thought would irritate me, but nope!

Logitech G300 Gaming Mouse

Date:22 April 2012
As a Logitech Product Tester LPT12054 I am providing a review on the G300.
Overall a fantastic little gaming mouse.
The quality is quite good, although I don't think as good as the more expensive mice. It is a little light in weight.
The features on this little dynamo are amazing. After having to download the software you can then set up how you want to use your mouse. There are nine programmable buttons which you can store in three diferent profiles on the mouse and more on your computer. How cool is that? Each profile You can set each button for different uses and set 4 different DPI settings. The choice from 250 - 2500 DPI giving you a precise and smooth movement. All though the lights at the side are cute they serve a purpose, to let you know which profile you are running. Logitech give you a choice of seven colours or turn it off. Being able to set this up as a left handed mouse is a bonus.
The prctical use of these features are you can program the buttons to your favouate gaming actions and use the mouse instead of your keyboard. You can also change the DPI on the fly in the game which will give you the edge especially in online gaming. I like that you can download premade profiles for your games.
This little bad boy may only have optical but it performs great on hard surfaces. It will perform on material but it becomes slow or sluggish like all optical mice. Being corded you wont get any delay lag that cordless can give.
It is easy to use and set up. I found the software help a little difficult to sort through as it is made for ALL gaming devices. If you do have trouble setting it up you can go to http://www.logitech.com/en-au/mice-pointers/mice/devices/gaming-mouse-g300 and search the FAQ to find out how. The ergonomic design is very comfortable for right or left handed. I will happily recommend this mouse to beginners and pros.
